Imports of poultry products from Hungary were the most plausible cause of bird flu say the UK Government.
With around 160,000 turkeys slaughtered after the outbreak of the deadly H5N1 virus at a Suffolk turkey farm the UK government has said “Imports of poultry products from Hungary were the “most plausible” cause of the outbreak of bird flu at a Suffolk turkey farm” and also that “it was highly unlikely the outbreak was caused by wild birds”.
This conclusion has come after an investigation into the outbreak by the Department for Environment Food and Rural Affairs at the Bernard Matthews plant in the UK,
They finished by saying “no evidence was found of illegal or unsafe movements of poultry products from Hungary to the UK” but leaving it open as the most plausible cause.
Whatever happens now everyone world-wide should see that Bird Flu is here now and will be for sometime yet, also we as the public for sure do not know the real impact that bird flu will or may have on our lives in the future. Source
